Watercolor Painting and India Ink (May 2019)

In this class you will create a 5 x 7 painting using permanent India ink, Winsor Newton Cotman Watercolor Pigments colors, and Arches 140 # watercolor paper. A selection of two examples will be shared but feel free to generate your composition. Painting examples and techniques that use India ink will be shared from work by professional artist Joe Cibere.

This 1-night class meets Monday, May 13, from 6-9 PM.

  • Age and/or skill level: Adults (age 16+), beginner to intermediate skill.
  • Location: AAO – Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego.
  • Cost: Instructional fee: $21 for AAO members or $30 for non-members. Materials = $10 payable to instructor at beginning of class. All tools and materials will be provided. Note: If you choose to bring and use your own materials, you do not have to pay the materials fee.

  • Instructor Robert A. Jones – Bob is a retired technology education teacher from the Hannibal School District. He began watercolor painting after retirement and has been teaching watercolor painting for several years. This is his seventh year painting and his artwork continues to evolve through experimentation, studies, and practice.

Pre-registration & pre-payment are required. We cannot hold a class at these costs unless we have a minimum of 4 students. Please register using the form below. You will have the option to pay immediately directly from the registration form using PayPal, or pay later using a check or money order. If the class is cancelled by the AAO, or if you cancel at least 7 days prior to the first class, your entire payment will be returned. Payments are otherwise non-refundable.
