This is an open time for fiber artists of all types to work on projects in a shared space. In addition to sharing styles, techniques and ideas, the group may participate in knit-alongs, charity projects, knit/hook-ins and yarn bombings. Open for knitting, crochet, weaving, felting, spinning, tapestry and other fiber-centric work.
- Age and/or skill level: Fiber artists of all ages & skill levels are welcome as long as they are working on a project.
- Class size limit: 15
- Date(s): Wednesdays in Aug & Sept – potentially longer if enough people are interested.
- Time(s): 6:30-8:30 PM
- Location: AAO – Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego.
- Cost: Free. Donations to the Art Association of Oswego are encouraged. Optional participation in public events to raise awareness and funds for the Art Association
- Facilitator: Patti O’Brien-Beaumont. Patti is a lace knitter, spinner and budding mixed-media fiber artist who will act as host & contact person for the meetings. This Open Studio isn’t for formal instruction. It is a dedicated time to help you work on your projects; share work, ideas and techniques; and provide support for fellow fiber artists.
