The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of two new shows on Saturday, November 22nd, at the Oswego Civic Arts Center. In the Timothy McHenry gallery on the second floor will be an exhibit of work by Ukrainian architect Oleg Svystun called “The Magic of Architecture”. Svystun, currently living in Rochester, will be exhibiting ultramodern two-dimensional designs and three-dimensional models.
Also debuting on November 22, in conjunction with the architectural exhibit, will be recent work by artist Joel Dodge in the Jo Hyse Gallery on the first floor. Dodge, a recent graduate of Oswego State will display a series of new ink drawings based on childhood musings and monsters.
The opening reception will be held from 7-9 pm. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Regular gallery hours will be from 2 – 5 on weekends and by appointment. The Oswego Civic Arts Center is located at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego, directly across from Fort Ontario. “The Magic of Architecture” will remain open until December 21st.
