Participants must have some clay experience, especially with hand building, to take this class. Using hand building techniques such as solid construction, coils, and slabs to construct 1-2 animal or human forms out of clay. Throwing on the potter’s wheel is an additional option for those who have experience in that area.
- Age and/or skill level: Adults (ages 16+)
- Class size limit: 10
- When: 6 Mondays, March 19 – April 30, 6-9 PM (skipping April 2 – Spring Break)
- Where: AAO – Oswego Civic Arts Center, Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego. (Google Maps Address: 20 Barbara Donahue Dr)
- Cost: $190 + $35 materials. AAO members pay a discount of $133 + $35 materials. You may become a member to qualify for the discount rate. For more information on membership: OswegoArts.org/membership.
- Instructor: Rebecca Chatterton. Rebecca graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in ceramics. She has also taught several art classes.
